discovered yoga back in 2000 to help manage work related stress and found the practice to be healing. She has gone on to become an Integral Yoga Certified Instructor at the 500 hour level and has additional training to teach yoga as stress management and to those living with Cancer, MS and other Chronic Illness. In 2017 she attended Restorative Yoga Teacher Training at Kripalu with Judith Hanson Lassiter.
She has attended various workshops led by Sean Corn, David Swenson, Shiva Rea, Dharma Mitra, Rod Stryker, Eric Schiffmann, Rolf Gates and Gary Kraftsow who influence her teaching style. She currently teaches yoga to cancer patients as part of research projects through Wake Forest Baptist Health and is honored to witness the amazing healing experience. She teaches both in the studio and privately, as well as corporate settings and leads group retreats.

Friday 9:00 - 10:15am
Feel tight or stiff? This class will move slowly with longer time to hold each pose, allowing you to relax into each posture finding the right amount of gentle stretch. Connect with your breath, bring your focus inward, and make your practice a moving meditation. Class may target a specific area, hips or shoulders or work toward a peak pose, or an all over-whole body stretch.
Tuesday 9:00 - 10:15am
Classes will consist of a centering and warm up, some slow sun salutations, standing poses including balance poses, backbends, forward bends, inversions and twists; moving slowly to focus on connecting your movement with your breath. Variations and options are offered to allow practioners of all levels to practice together and to find the balance between effort and surrender. We will end with deep relaxation and meditation. Please bring an open heart and mind and leave feeling relaxed and ready to face the rest of your day.
